Stepping into this house is like stepping onto the set of “Home Alone.” Located at 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, many fans will remember the elaborate traps set by Kevin to defeat the bumbling burglars, Harry and Marv. While the interior has been updated since the movie was filmed in 1990, removing most traces of the famous holiday hijinks, the spirit of the McCallister home remains intact. Did you know? The Home Alone interior shots were filmed in multiple locations. For some scenes and shots, space was too tight for cameras and crews. So production teams used neighbors’ houses as well as building a complete recreation of the home’s interior in the New Trier Township High School gym to allow for more filming space.
